"Pay for 2, stay for 3" special - this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.
Location - On Golden Ponds is located on the St Georges Basin at Erowal Bay and has a lovely waterfront aspect, with a lovely garden that runs down to the water's edge. The house is also an easy 150m walk to the Erowal Bay General Store, bottleshop and takeaway. Erowal Bay is also only a 5 minfrom Hyams Beach and the Booderee National Park, and10-15 mins from Vincentia and Huskisson. The location is fantastic and you get beautiful sunsets from the large, main deck.
Key features - as the name suggests, On Golden Ponds has a tranquil and picturesque waterfront aspect, and a lovely, relaxed feel with rolling lawns and plenty of space for guests and kids. You will immediately feel relaxed. The house is also stylish, welle quipped and the bunk room / annexe keeps the kids well out of earshot.
Configuration - On Golden Ponds is a stylish home with three bedrooms in the main house - queen, queen, double, and a separate bunk room / annex that sleeps 4 in two bunks. The main house bedrooms have lovely, polished wooden floors and the main bedroom has views over the water. The open plan kitchen and dining area connect to a sunken lounge, which in turn connects to a very large deck with great water view and a good, under-cover area for sun protection. The house has two bathrooms for shared use, one with shower and one with shower and bath. The annex provides a couch and second TV along side the bunks.The garden of On Golden Ponds is terraced below the house and has a very large area of lawn that runs down to the water - complete with kids' cubby house, gazebo on the water, and a private jetty, open plan living area with a good-sized kitchen. The large, covered timber deck is complete with a BBQ and outdoor dining table.
Outdoors - On Golden Ponds is characterised by the large size of the block (1,260m2), the large deck, terraced gardens and a huge lawn area for the kids. The deck is complete with covered decking and an outdoor dining table. During your stay, also feel free to make use of the kids' cubby house, the private jetty, and the waterfront gazebo (set up a table or store water sports gear here). And you will also be visited by a wonderful array of bird life and resident kangaroos during early mornings.
Heating and cooling - On Golden Ponds has a split system air-conditioning unit in the living area - providing either heating or cooling options. The sleep out room also had a fan. The house is also well supplied with flys creens to many rooms, allowing you to catch any available breeze.
Linen - On Golden Ponds does not supply linen. Linen is to be supplied by guests or to be arranged with a linen service which we can provide the contact number for. Should you choose to supply your own linen the following will be required: sheets, pillow cases, bath and beach towels, hand towels, bath mats, and face cloths.
Pets - sorry, On Golden Ponds is not a pet friendly property.
Parking - there is good off-street parking, behind a fence,with room on the driveway for 3 cars.
Minimum stay - there is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January
Peak changeover day - please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Internet / Wi-Fi access- please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offers internet access. If a house has internet, you may use it but with no guarantee by us or the owner re its reliability. If you bring an internet dongle, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise guests go to various cafes in Huskisson, the Sanctuary Point Public Library or the St Georges Basin Country Club - all of which provide free Wi-Fi.
