The Lake House at Erowal Bay is a stunning waterfront property,sleeping up to 12. It is the perfect family retreat where you can escape city life in a rustic yet beautifully decorated home - a feature of which is the beautiful lounge / hearth with huge fire place overlooking the serene waters of St Georges Basin.
Special information - This house is suitable for a maximum of six adults and six children only due to the bedding configuration of multiple bunk beds. Please also be aware that permanent residents live next door to the property and as such we ask that you respect their quiet and privacy. We request that all loud music and noise be reduced by 11pm in consideration ofthe neighbours.
"Pay for 2, stay for 3" special - this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.
Location - The Lake House is located on the St Georges Basin at Erowal Bay on the waterfront reserve. The house is also an easy walk to the Erowal Bay General Store, bottleshop and takeaway. Erowal Bay is also only a five minute drive from Hyams Beach and the Booderee National Park, and 15 mins from Vincentia and Huskisson. The location is fantastic and you get to enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the back deck, and if you are a nature lover, you will not be disappointed with the myriad of wildlife that this location has to offer.
Key features - The Lake House at Erowal Bay has a fabulous wood fire for the whole family to sit around whilst enjoying the views of St Georges Basin out of the floor to ceiling windows. The waterfront reserve invites the kids to play outside all day, with ample room for running around.
Configuration - The Lake House at Erowal Bay is a rustic family home which sleeps 12. The open kitchen has a dining table for the children. The large living area at the back of the house with main dining table also offers lounges and wood fire place. Thecabin style living area looks out to the water of St Georges Basin. At the front of the house is the first bedroom with a queen size bed and sun lounge, the second bedroom had a double bed and the bunk room sleeping six is also in this area. The bathroom and laundry are both large and well equipped. At the back of the house, leading off the porch is a parents retreat with water views, queen size bed, ensuite and day bed.
Outdoors - there is plenty of room to relax on the back porch while watching the kids play cricket on the waterfront reserve. There is also a picnic bench for you to enjoy evening BBQs on the water's edge. The property has some canoes under the house, and if you use them, you do so totally at your own risk. Please be aware of this.
Heating and Cooling - The Lake House at Erowal Bay can be opened up to create a lovely breeze in the summer. The wood fire will keep you cosy warm during winter. Abundant louvre windows through out the property let in any hint of breeze creating a refreshing air flow.
Linen - The Lake House at Erowal Bay does not provide linen. If you would prefer we can direct you to a linen service provider, otherwise the following items should be brought with you; sheets (top and bottom), pillow case, towels, hand towels, bath mats and tea towels.
Parking - there is enough parking for three cars in the driveway at The Lake House at Erowal Bay.
Pets - The Lake House at Erowal Bay is a pet friendly home. Please bring a bed for your dog, and do not allow them on the beds or furniture. Please also clean up after your pet. (Special note-the yard is not fully enclosed, so please be aware of this).
Minimum Stays - There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to seven night blocks during the peak period. The peak period runs from mid-December to end of the Australia Day long weekend in January. Easter also requires a minimum four night stay and a minimum three nights during all long-weekends.
Peak Changeover Day - Please note that during the peak period our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the rosters manageable for our cleaners. Please understand this requirement.
Internet / Wi-Fi access - This property does have Wi-Fi and a username and password will be provided for that in your pre-arrival email. You may use the house WiFi with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner.If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B.
