A classic, stylish and superbly located beach house with some of the prettiest views in Hyams. Chinamans Beach is increasingly sought after for its serenity, sensational views, and proximity to the beautiful coastal walk linking Hyams Beach to Vincentia.
Location - Chinamans is located on the prime waterfront strip, in the north-eastern corner of Hyams Beach village. It has serene views of Jervis Bay and along Chinamans Beach - arguably the prettiest view in Hyams! The walk to the beach access point is also only 100 metres, if that.
Key features - Chinamans is a classic beach house and a real surprise package. The house is very well designed, has lovely views from the living area, and due to its H-shaped layout and decent sized back yard, offers plenty of privacy or play space for the kids. You will truly unwind here! The front deck is the perfect location to sit and watch the whales and dolphins! The attention to detail is evident in this beautiful home. The ceiling to floor curtains, high end furniture, and luxury linen all showcase Chinamans to be the delight that it is. A stay here will not disappoint.
Configuration - Chinamans has an H-shaped layout with the open plan living and dining area + the master bedroom (with en-suite) at the front of the house, allwith ocean views. The kitchen is at the centre of the house, but is still open plan to the dining and lounge area. The rear of the house then has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, and the second with a double bunk and single bed), a second shared bathroom, separate toilet, and the rear yard area. The back garden has a small lawned area, and gas BBQ for outdoor entertaining, as well as a hot and cold outdoor shower in the private courtyard to wash off the sand.
Outdoors- Chinamans has a lovely front garden full of native plants and birds! As noted above, the back garden has a small lawned area, beautiful stone pavingwith a gasBBQ and timber seating for entertaining out of the breeze, as well as an outdoor hot and coldshower.
Heating and cooling -Chinamans has a great slow combustion wood fired stove in the open plan living area, as well as heaters for the bedrooms. The house can also be opened up to catch any available sea breeze on a warmer day. There are also ceiling fans in the bedrooms for those warm nights.
Linen -high quality linen and bath towels are supplied at Chinamans. Please however remember to bring your own beach towels.
Parking - there is a side driveway with parking for up to three cars, as well as some on-street parking.
Pets - Chinamans is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of our many pet-friendly options.
Minimum stay - there is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Peak changeover day - please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Special information - the single lock up garage is reserved for use by the owners.
Internet / Wi-Fi access- NBN is progressively rolling out along the South Coast of NSW. If your house does have internet and if the owner makes it available to guests, you mayuse it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi. If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B.
