It is a five minute walk to beautiful Collingwood Beach, and because of its elevated position, has views to the bay from the upstairs balcony. "Pay for 2, stay for 3" special - this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.
Location - 31 Excellent Street is located very centrally in Vincentia with a local shopping centre just across the road, and Collingwood Beach only a 2 minute walk from the house. Huskisson, Hyams Beach and the beautiful Booderee National Park are also only a 5 minute drive. The house is slightly elevated, and the guest accommodation is on the upstairs level - giving good bay views.
Key Features - 31 Excellent Street has a great central location for those who want to be within easy walking distance of all amenities. The house has been very well refurbished and has a great backyard and outdoor entertaining options.
Configuration - Al Mare is the upstairs level of a two storey house, but guests have use of a second shower downstairs and the back yard. Details are as follows:
The upstairs level has the three bedrooms, an open plan living - dining - kitchen, a shared bathroom, and a balcony that runs the full width of the house. Access is up a flight of stairs from the rear of the property.
The downstairs level is occupied by other guests, but no noise transmits between the two dwellings. Guests also have their own private laundry, with second toilet and shower on this level. The cushions for the BBQ area bench seats are also stored in the laundry.
Please note that the kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
Outdoors - 31 Excellent Street has a full width balcony upstairs, good lawn areas (front and back), a large covered BBQ area and a fire pit for sitting under the stars around a fire! The cushions for the BBQ area bench seats are also stored in the laundry. Overall, there are plenty of options for relaxing outside, or for dispersing the kids!
Heating and Cooling - 31 Excellent Street can be opened up to catch any sea breeze, and has heaters for the cooler months.
Linen - 31 Excellent Street does not supply linen. Linen is to be supplied by tenant or to be arranged with a linen service which we can provide the contact number for. Should you choose to supply your own linen the following will be required: sheets, pillow cases, bath and beach towels, hand towels, bath mats, and face cloths.
Parking -there is off street, open air parking for 2 - 3 cars on the driveway to the left of the house. Drive across the grass from the main driveway to access the side, concrete driveway where there is good parking on the left side of the house. The main driveway is generally used by the downstairs guests.
Pets - Sorry, 31 Excellent Street is a not pet friendly property.
Minimum stay - there is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January
Peak changeover day -please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Internet / Wi-Fi access- please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offers internet access. If a house has internet, you may use it but with no guarantee by us or the owner re its reliability. If you bring an internet dongle, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise guests go to various cafes in Huskisson, the Sanctuary Point Public Library or the St Georges Basin Country Club - all of which provide free Wi-Fi.
Special information- please note that the downstairs level of the property is occupied by other guests. Also note that there is no dishwasher at this beach house.
