"Pay for 2, stay for 3" special - this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.
Location - across the road from the only park in Hyams Beach and with lovely views across the bay and down to Chinaman's Beach, Rowse House can't be beaten for location. The Hyams Beach Cafe and your pick of three beaches are also within easy walking distance. You are also on the prime waterfront strip of Cyrus Street, with no other houses in front. Booderee National Park and the nearby towns of Huskisson and Vincentia are also only a short drive away.
Key Features - built and owned by the samefamily since 1951, Rowse House has been a labour of love over the years, and retains much of it original, casual and comfortable charm. It is an older style home but a 'crowd favourite'. Sit back and enjoy the ocean views from the lovely deck or upstairs balcony, or let the kids run around in the spacious backyard.
Configuration - You enter Rowse House from the rear. On the downstairs level you have a bedroom with a double bed,the kitchen, living and dining area, as well as a combined bathroom/laundry and separate toilet. Upstairs there is a bathroom and three bedrooms: one with 2 single beds, the second with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, and the third with a queen bed. Two of the upstairs bedrooms access a balcony with fantastic views of Jervis Bay. There is also a bathroom on the second level.
Outdoors - the front deck is fully fenced and accessible via the open plan living area. There is a large backyard with a washing lineand plenty of space for some cricket! Please keep in mind if you are bringing your furry friends that the yard is not fully fenced.
Heating and Cooling - there are heaters at Rowse House for cooler months, and a pedestal fan for the summer. You can also open the windows and the doors to catch an ocean breeze.
Linen - Rowse House does not supply linen.Linen is to be supplied by the guest or to be arranged with a linen service which we can provide the contact number for. Should you choose to supply your own linen the following will be required: sheets, pillow cases, bath and beach towels, hand towels, bath mats, and face cloths.
Parking -there is plenty of off-street parking. The driveway is to the right of the house and can comfortably accommodate 3 cars.
Pets - Rowse House is a pet friendly property. Please note this property is not fully fenced.
Minimum stay - there is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January
Peak changeover day - please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Internet / Wi-Fi access- please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offers internet access. If a house has internet, you may use it but with no guarantee by us or the owner re its reliability. If you bring an internet dongle, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise guests go to various cafes in Huskisson, the Sanctuary Point Public Library or the St Georges Basin Country Club - all of which provide free Wi-Fi.
