"Pay for 2, stay for 3" special -this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.
Location - Sandy Shores is located right on the main beach at Hyams, four doors along from the cafe. It has a very central location, a sensational view, and private beach access. The house is also set back from the road with a large lawn area.
Key Features - This beachfront property sits back from the street and right on the beach. A lovely lawn with BBQ and outdoor setting is perfect for soaking up the Hyams experience. The house is older in style, including original bathroom and kitchens. It is therefore a 'casual and comfortable' option, not a luxurious beach house, and has one of the best locations in Hyams Beach!
Configuration - Sandy Shores is a one level property with a master queen bedroom, a second bedroom with two single beds and a bunk room with two bunks. There is main bathroom with separate shower, bath, vanity and toilet, plus an additional shower and toilet located in the laundry. Two of the three bedrooms have built-ins. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas are open plan, all with spectacular views. There are good lawn areas front and back, with private access to the beach. A fireplace is also a cosy addition for chilly evenings.
Please note that one of the bedrooms is a converted garage - basic but adequate. The house is true to the photos.
Outdoors - There is an outdoor setting with gas BBQ on the beach side veranda. The access to the beach is via private stairs. The lawn area to the road is large and has a trampoline, which is to be used at your own risk.
Heating and cooling - Sandy Shores has a fireplace and electric heater for keeping warm in winter, a ceiling fan in the dining / living area, and various pedestal fans for the bedrooms.
Linen - Linen is supplied for Sandy Shores. Please remember to bring your favourite beach towels.
Parking - There is no garage but ample off street parking. There is an exceptionally large yard off Cyrus Street that could also cater for boats.
Pets - Sandy Shores is pet friendly. Please keep your dog off furniture and beds, and please clean up hairs, droppings and the like before you leave. The yard is fenced to the road, but not to the beach.
Minimum stay -There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Peak changeover day - Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Special Information - Sandy Shores is an older style beach house, however is casual and comfy. Please be aware of this when booking the property which is true to the photos on the web site. The location is fantastic and the big front and rear lawn areas, with trampoline, are also great for the kids.
Internet / Wi-Fi access - NBN is progressively rolling out along the South Coast of NSW. If your house does have internet and if the owner makes it available to guests, you may use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi. If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B.
