Cedar Cottage - the way beach holidays used to be! Simple, neat, private and affordable. Cedar Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing beach stay!
Where will I be?
Cedar Cottage is located on the lower end of Booderee Avenue, the road that enters into Hyams Beach. It is within walking distance of the Hyams Beach Cafe and the local beaches.
Why choose Cedar Cottage?
Cedar Cottage is a simple and tidy home with a large deck that wraps around two sides of the house. It has a lovely and peaceful riverine setting, and from one point on the deck, there are views to Jervis Bay. Parrots visit frequently and sliding doors permit the bay breezes through the house.
How is the property laid out?
Cedar Cottage has a good sized open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. There are three bedrooms: one two queen rooms and one with bunks. The bathroom has bath and shower. There is also a separate toilet and internal laundry.
What about outdoors?
There is a good sized wrap-around deck with BBQ and a small grassed, backyard area.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Cedar Lodge is supplied with an electric heater and in summer, the house can be opened up well to catch any available breeze.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Cedar Cottage does not provide linen. If you would prefer we can direct you to a linen service provider, otherwise the following items should be brought with you; sheets (top and bottom), pillow case, towels, hand towels, bath mats and tea towels.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is off street parking at Cedar Cottage for up to three cars, however the driveway access is quite steep. The house is best accessed from the down hill side of Booderee Avenue.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Cedar Cottage is a pet friendly property subject to the following rules:
What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.
Is there any special information I should know about?
Please note also that this property has a steep driveway access. Take care when you first enter the property, especially if at night, or consider parking on the grass shoulder. The house is best accessed from the down hill side of Booderee Avenue.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
NBN is progressively rolling out along the South Coast of NSW. If your house does have internet and if the owner makes it available to guests, you mayuse it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi. If internet access is critical during your stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B!
