Location and access
Erowal Bay is located on the Northern side of St Georges' Basin - a large inland body of water that flows to the ocean at Sussex Inlet.
The road access to the area is via Nowra onto Jervis Bay Road and then via Naval College Road - along the same route that takes you to Hyams Beach and Booderee National Park. The distance from Nowra to Erowal Bay is about 30 kms.
Key features and attractions
Erowal Bay is great for families with kids as the waters are generally always safe and shallow. The small, sleepy town is also safe for children and very welcoming. The general store and take away are a short walk from any part of the town.
Shallow waters of Erowal Bay provide the perfect playground for small swims, fishing and bird watching. Erowal Bay is also only a 5 minute drive from famous Hyams Beach and a 10 minute drive to the Booderee National Park entrance.
